There's something more than an hint of spring in the air.  It's the sweet sense that Republicans are headed for one of the most stunning turnaround elections ever!

And what a turnaround it's been.  Just a year after being written off by the media elite, the Republican Party--at every level--is surging back.  Here in Summit County, across Ohio and the nation, we've recruited outstanding candidates, who are running on a stronger conservative platform and creating more enthusiasm than ever before.

There's an historic air of excitement in our party that I'm sure you'll want to share.  And there's no better time and place to feel that energy than at the Summit County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, April 10.

This is our night to shine, and we have just the program to make it happen.  The Honorable Steve LaTourette, Summit County's Republican Congressman from the 14th Congressional District and a member of the powerful Appropriations Committee, will be our keynote speaker.  He'll give us a lively, first-hand report on what it's like to serve on the front lines in the fight against Nancy Pelosi and Obama's far-left socialist agenda.

We also look forward to hosting many of our statewide slate of Republican candidates for this fall's general election -- led by Summit County's own Mary Taylor for Lieutenant Governor and Maureen O'Connor for Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court.  We'll cap the evening with a straw poll for this year's contested primary races.  An agenda like this is going to draw a large and enthusiastic response, so you'll want to act now to be sure you won't miss this exciting night.

Our annual Lincoln Day Dinner will be held at the Quaker Station, 135 South Broadway, Akron, Ohio.  There will be a social hour with a cash bar beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.  Dinner will be served promptly at 7:00 p.m.  The Quaker Station is located directly behind the Quaker Square Inn at The University of Akron.  Parking is available in the Summit Street parking lot, the Morely Health Center parking deck and the Broadway parking deck.  There will be a shuttle bus available from the Summit Street parking lot, due to construction on the Mill St. bridge.  Mark the date--Saturday, April 10--and make plans now to attend.  This will be an evening that you won't want to miss.
